Prayers will be 9:30 am. on Monday, July 30, 2018 at the Fox Funeral Home in Boardman, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Charles Church, celebrated by Rev. Philip Rogers, for Imelda Schiffauer,93, who passed away peacefully and in the presence of loving family, on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at Hospice House in Poland.

Imelda was born August 29, 1924 in Johnstown, Pa., daughter of Norbert and Mary Schilling Boes.

Imelda married Richard Schiffauer on August 6, 1955, and together they had five children.  Imelda was a parishioner of St. Charles Church, and was active in the church.  She worked as a dental technician and a bank teller and moved to the area in 1994.  Most of all, she loved being with her children and grandchildren.

She will be sadly missed by three sons Richard (Sharon) of Silver Springs, MD, John and Robert (Marcia), all of Boardman; two daughters Mary (Kevin) O'Donnell of Boardman and Janet (Richard) Graffeo of West Islip, NY; nine grandchildren Christopher, Katie, Kyle, Brittany, Courtney, Anthony, John, Larry and Jennifer and two great grandchildren Mason and Ashley, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Imelda was preceded in death by her husband Richard, who passed away March 26, 2018, grandson Joey and siblings Dorothy, Joseph, Norbert, Raymond, George, Robert Agnes, Sister Pauline, Rosemary and Louise.

Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 29, at Fox Funeral Home, 4700 Market Street, Boardman.

Imelda's family wishes to thank the staff at Hospice of the Valley for their gentle care and thoughtful support and has requested that material tributes be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Boardman, OH  44512.

Interment will take place at Calvary cemetery.
