There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am Wednesday at St. Charles Church celebrated by Fr. Gerald DeLucia for Irene A. Welsh, 89, who passed away peacefully Saturday evening at Hampton Woods. Irene was born November 5, 1927, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Stephen and Anna Turocy Hindus and had been a lifetime area resident. She attended Woodrow Wilson High School, graduating with the Class of 1946.

She married William F. Welsh on July 5, 1947 at St. Dominic's Church.  Irene enjoyed being a homemaker and was a member of St. Charles Church and their Garden Club.

She will be sadly missed by her daughters Karen (Dennis) Cousins of Boardman and Colleen (Dale) Owens of Dallas, TX; her grandchildren Melanie (Dwight) Coy of Cleveland, Lindsay Cousins of Houston, and Casey Maidon of Kentucky; and her great-grandchildren Emerson and Avery Coy of Cleveland.

Besides her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her husband William, a brother Robert, and a sister Betty Theodore. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at St. Charles Church , prior to the funeral mass.
