Dr. Irfan A. Khan, 68 POLAND - Dr. Irfan A. Khan, 68, passed away Monday morning. He was born April 20, 1946, in India, a son of Abdul Ghani Khan and Wahida Begham. His family moved to Pakistan where he was a gold medalist in Engineering at the College of Pakistan. Dr. Khan came to the United States under the east west scholarship and received a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Hawaii in 1974. He then received a Ph.D in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University in 1977 and joined the Civil Engineering Deptartment at Youngstown State University the same year and retired in 2008. During his tenure, he received Distinguished Professor awards in 1981, 1984, and 1998. In 2002, he was awarded outstanding professor of the year in Civil Engineering. In 1987, he published a book A
