James E. Bogan, Sr. 81, of Austintown, passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon April 14, 2024.  He was born January 29, 1943, in Youngstown, a son of the late Tod and Anastasia Coleman Bogan, Sr.

After graduating from Cardinal Mooney High School in 1962, Jim enlisted in the Navy. Upon his discharge, Jim was in management at Sparkle Markets, Giant Eagle, and Dollar Tree.

He was a car buff and enjoyed hanging out with the Southside Boys and going to Florida to visit his children.

Jim leaves to cherish memory his daughter Michelle L. (fiancée John Fletcher) Heidecker, son Dr. James E. (Sarika Patel) Bogan Jr., brother Tod Bogan, Jr, Terry (Angela) Bogan, grandchildren Alexandra Lynn McGee, James Bogan III, Anna Marie Bogan, John Heidecker and Jordan Heidecker and five great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by brothers Gerald, Larry, and Patrick Bogan.

There will be a private family memorial service at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. Boardman.
