James H. Fischer, 93 BOARDMAN A- There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Dominic Church celebrated by Fr. Regis for James H. Fischer, 93, who passed away Saturday morning at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Boardman. Jim was born May 20, 1918, in Breckenridge,PA, a son of Andrew and Sybella Fischer and moved to this area as a child. James graduated from South High School. He served in Italy with the Army during WWII and received good conduct medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with 3 bronze stars and 1 bronze arrowhead. James was a charter member of St. Dominic Church. He was an independent carpenter and contractor retiring in 1983. He was a member and secretary of the Lowellville Rod and Gun club for 25 years and a former H.B.A. Member. He is survived by his wife Mary Angela Miller whom he married May 28, 1948; a son J. Bernard (Suzanne) Fisher of Boardman; a granddaughter, Erica M. (Michael) Sawchyn of Stow,OH. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Harry, Theodore and Richard Fischer.
