POLAND-James H. Kelly, 79 There will be prayers at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at Fox Funeral Home and a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Timothy O'Neill and Deacon Mike Kojancic at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Church in Boardman for James H. Kelly (Jim) who passed away Monday afternoon at Hospice House surrounded by his family and friends. He was born July 31, 1932 in Youngstown, a son of Raymond P. and Gertrude Higgins Kelly and was a life-long area resident. Jim graduated with the Class of 1950 from Ursuline High School. He was a veteran from the U.S. Army where he was a Military Policeman and served in Korea during the Korean war. Jim was a salesman for DuBois Chemical Company and an electrician for Youngstown Sheet and Tube, Republic Steel, and General Fireproofing. He worked for over 20 years as maintenance supervisor for St. Charles Church and School where he was a member for 50 years. He was also a 4th degree knight in the Knights of Columbus, a member of the A.O.H., Gaelic Society, Kelly Ward Varley American Legion and various golf leagues. Jim was an avid reader, enjoyed spending time with his dogs and loved attending his grandchildren's shows and events. He will be sadly missed by his high school sweetheart Kathleen "Kay" Reedy whom he proposed to on December 16, 1954 and married on February 12, 1955. They spent most of their 56 years of marriage raising their family in Boardman. He cherished his children and grand children and will be greatly missed by each of them: Kathleen (Larry) Moliterno of Boardman, James W. (Vera) Kelly of Warren, Michael (Chris) Kelly of Canfield; and Aileen (Eric) Rebic of Struthers; eight grand children, Tyler Moliterno, Lauren Moliterno, Aminah Wesley, Madilyn Kelly, Bridgett Kelly, Michael Kelly, Taylor Hull-Rebic and Eric Rebic. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his four brothers, Raymond, William, John and Thomas Kelly. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at Fox Funeral Home, Boardman.
