James A. Petrella, 88 NORTH LIMA - Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, at the Western Reserve United Methodist Church in Canfield, and officiated by the Rev. Russ Adams for James A. Petrella, 88, who passed away peacefully Tuesday evening. James was born Dec. 19, 1927, in Youngstown, a son of the late Dominick and Sabina Clement Petrella and stepmother Maria Pagano Petrella. He attended The Rayen School. "Jim" worked for Youngstown Foundry, Wean United and United Foundries. After his retirement, Jim worked for Mid-American Court Services. He was a member of the Western Reserve United Methodist Church, Poland Lodge 766 F.&A.M. Scottish Rite, Valley of Youngstown 32nd degree Mason, Aut Mori Grotto of Youngstown, Al Koran Shrine in Cleveland, Youngstown Shrine Club, Ashlar Chapter No. 213, Mahoning Valley Industrial Management Association, Mahoning County Council of the Mentally Retarded Children, South County Democratic Men's Club and United Commercial Travelers No. 233. Jim served his country in the U.S. Army at the end of World War II. His wife, the former Dolores V. Hollander, whom he married Dec. 23, 1950, passed away Jan. 28, 2013. He leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Randy (Kathy) Petrella of New Middletown; a daughter, DeVonna Petrella of New Middletown; two brothers, Andrew (Millie) Petrella and Samuel (Dahlia) Pagano, both of Girard; two grandchildren, Lynda (James) Seabrook and Randall Petrella and fiancAC.e Nicole Anderson; three great-grandchildren, Madisson Belle Anderson, Jackson James Seabrook and Abigayle Marie Petrella; and two stepgreat-grandchildren, Sean Seabrook and Johnathon Seabrook. Besides his wife and parents, Jim was preceded in death by a son, James H. Petrella; a sister, Angela (Felix) Bevilacqua; and a brother, Guy (Irene) Pagano. Friends and family may call from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, at the Fox Funeral Home Boardman, where there will be a 7:30 p.m. Masonic prayer service and from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, at the Western Reserve United Methodist Church.
