BOARDMAN-JANE PRICE Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Calvary Baptist Church in Boardman Ohio, for Jane Price who passed away in her home on 12/15/10. Jane was born on August 10, 1930 in Youngstown, Ohio the daughter of the late Russel and Annebel Weaver . Jane was a 1949 graduate of East High School and a member of the National Honor Society. She met her husband, Gordon Price, Sr. while attending East and married on August 16th, 1955. Jane was a homemaker and served as a bookkeeper for Gordon Price Construction Company, owned by her and Gordon. She was also owner operator of Williamsburg Accessories in Park Side Plaza. Jane served and was a member of Angels for Easter Seals and Stambaugh Pillars, serving on many committees during her tenure to raise money for these organizations dear to her heart. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Jane enjoyed traveling, golf, cooking and playing bridge with her friends. She was an avid reader and member of the Merry Wives of Windsor Book Club, where she led many book discussions. She and her husband Gordon loved to entertain friends and family, and it was Jane's special decorating touch, home cooking and ability to nurture others that made these events special. She especially enjoyed her dog Cohen who was her daily companion. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, neighbor and friend. She created a warm, welcoming home, where family was a priority. She raised her children and helped pass on to her grandchildren good old fashioned values, the importance of family, education and honest hard work, Jane and her husband Gordon believed in quiet service to others, and the importance in helping those in times of need. She was a wonderful note writer and kept up with friends with a good old fashioned pen and pretty stationary. Jane will be sadly missed by all and was a treasure to all that knew her. She is survived by her three children Joy Peterson (Robert), Blair Price (Jody) of Atlanta, Georgia, and Gordon Price Jr., four grandchildren Blair and Zachary Peterson ( Youngstown) , and Patricia Jane and Cody Price (Atlanta),two step grandsons Erik Peterson (New Castle, Pa.) and Jens Lee Peterson (Cleveland), many dear nieces and nephews, and numerous loving and precious friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Russell and Annabel Weaver, step-father John Haynie, sister Irene Basch, and adoring husband, Gordon Price Sr. Family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Jane's favorite charitable organizations: Angels for Easter Seals, Northeast Ohio Adoption Services, and Hospice of the Valley. Calling Hours will be held Sunday from 2p.m. to 5 p.m. at Fox Funeral Home in Boardman, and Monday from 10a.m. to 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Service immediately following.
