Janice Hernan Morris, 56 AUSTINTOWN - Prayers will be at 9:15 a.m. Thursday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by the Rev Kenneth Miller at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Austintown, for Janice Hernan Morris, 56, who passed away Saturday morning. Janice was born March 28, 1955, in Youngstown, a daughter of William and Mildred Tinkler Hernan Sr. She was a 1973 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School, played in the marching band and was a member of the reunion committee. She then received a bachelor degree for Youngstown State University in Information Technology. Janice worked for the Youngstown Diocese and was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and Warren Military Band. She hosted exchange students from Ursuline for many years. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Jere L. Morris, whom she married April 1, 1978; three daughters, Molly Morris of New York City, Katie Morris of Austintown and Annie Morris at home; a son, Dan Morris of Columbus; five brothers, William (Mary Beth) Hernan of Centerburg, Thomas (Paula) Hernan of Madison, Ohio, Donald Hernan of Youngstown, Dennis (Meg) Hernan of Harrisburg, Pa. and Kenneth (Linda) Hernan of Ellsworth; two sisters, Nancy (Greg) Blockinger of Austintown and Kathleen (Greg) Morrison of Poland; father and mother-in-law, Robert (Sally) Morris of Austintown; two brothers-in-law, Steve Morris of Berlin Center and Chris (Gail) Morris of Austintown; a sister-in-law, Robynn Morris of Niles; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Janice was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Susan Bradley Hernan. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman. Janice lost her leg at the age of seven in a tragic accident on July 7, 1962, and she was a inspiration to all that knew and loved her.
