BOARDMAN-Joan Elaine Proctor-62 A Funeral Service to celebrate the life of Joan Elaine Proctor, 62 will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman. Joan died Thursday morning at her residence in Boardman with her son Duane by her side. Joan was born on June 22, 1950 in Fredrick, Maryland, attended Fredrick High School graduating with the Class of 1968. After graduation she went to Beautician School and received her certificate. She then moved to Youngstown and met Leroy Williams and married him in 1969 in Bartonville, MD. During her years of preparing herself she went to college for Business Administration, paralegal and received her degree in Cooking Management. She has worked for many years as the cook at the Jewish Community Center. Her hobbies were cooking, spend time reading the bible, traveling but most of all spending time with her family and friends. She is the daughter of the late William R. Proctor who passed away in 1995. She leaves to cherish her memories her son Duane E. Williams; ex-husband Leroy Williams both of Boardman; her two daughters Anissa L. (Edwin) Garcia Sr. of Campbell, Zandra D. Williams of Columbus; grandchildren, Edwin G. Garcia Jr., Mauricio J. Garcia, Juanda S. (Bryan) Layton all from Campbell, Jamaren R. Williams of Canton; great grandchildren Mackenzie B and Eliza E. Layton of Campbell. She will also be missed by some close family members, Mrs. Olga R. Garcia, Yolanda Y. Padilla, Walter Reyes, Edna (Pedro) Alicea, Richard Garcia,Olga I. McRae, Garcia, the Layton family and many other family and friends. Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Fox Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. Boardman, OH 44512.
