John Anthony DeCesare, 86 POLAND - There will be a Resurrection Mass at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Charles Church, celebrated by Rev. Philip Rogers for John Anthony DeCesare, 86, who passed away Tuesday evening at Hospice House. John was born June 8, 1928, in Pratala Peligna Italy a son of Antonio and Angelina DiCioccio DiCesare and moved to the United States when he was 7 years old. He graduated from Struthers High School and was a veteran serving in the United States Army. John worked as a steel worker for LTV Steel and had a construction business on the side with his brother constructing many buildings including their home. John was a long time parishioner of St. Charles parish, was a mall walker for 35 years and loved to travel the world with his wife Betty. He will be greatly missed by his wife Betty Kossick whom he married December 26, 1969 celebrating over 44 years of marriage. He also leaves three sons Danny (Annette) DeCesare of Boardman, David (Denise) DeCesare of Struthers, Douglas (Lori) DeCesare of Lowellville; a sister Laura Petrella of Hubbard; four grandchildren, Samuel, Anthony and Madelyn DeCesare, Amanda Harvey; two great grandchildren Sebastian and Sylvia Harvey. Besides his parents John was preceded in death by his two brothers Joseph and Emerick DiCesare. In lieu of flowers the family requests monetary donations be made in John's honor to Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Rd, Poland, OH 44514 or to the Charity of your choice. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at St. Charles Church prior to the Funeral Mass.
