John "Jack" Doyle, 86 STRUTHERS - Prayers will be at 9:15 a.m. Thursday at the Fox Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by the Rev. Philip Rogers at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church in Struthers for John Doyle, 86, who passed away Monday morning at his residence surrounded by family. John was born Dec. 8, 1925, in Youngstown, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Doyle and was a life-long area resident. He graduated from South High School and earned his bachelor's degree from Ohio University and his master's degree from Westminster College. John was a veteran with the U.S. Navy. He retired after 15 years as superintendent of Lowellville Local Schools. He was a long time member of St. Nicholas Parish, where he served as an usher. John was a high school football referee, a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion of Struthers, and the YMCA. He loved to go golfing and spent many winters in Myrtle Beach, S.C. In addition to his wife of eight years, Norma Milligan, he is survived by his daughters, Cathy (Paul) Kulik, Cheryl (Phil) Anderson, Bobbie Milligan, Debra Dezee, Suzanne (Pete) Iudiciani, and Kelly (Mark) Malito; his grandchildren, Adam Kulik, Lauren Kulik, Robert Kennedy, Timothy Kennedy, Rebecca Simpson, Peter Iudiciani, Julie Iudiciani, Amy Dezee, Molly Malito and Katie Malito; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; first wife, Mary Boylan, who passed away in June of 1996; and his two sisters, Ann DeMain and Audrey Smith. Jack was beloved by his family and friends and by all whose lives he impacted positively. John's family wishes to thank the staff of Hospice of the Valley for the compassionate care given to him.
