John "Stan" Mussler,95 YOUNGSTOWN - There will be a Resurrection Mass at 12 noon Thursday, at St. Patrick's Church, celebrated by Rev. Edward Noga for John "Stan" Mussler, 95, who passed away Sunday morning. Stan was born February 4, 1919 in Youngstown, a son of Joseph J. and Catherine Welsh Mussler and lived his entire life in the Youngstown area. His mother came here from Ireland as a young girl. He graduated from South High School and served as a Staff Sargent in the Air Force. He worked at Truscon and then retired from Poulakas Bakery. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family. Stan belonged to St. Patrick Church his entire life. His faith never wavered. He especially loved his home, sports and a great round of golf with his friends at Mill Creek golf course. He leaves behind his daughter, Susan (Denny) Melnik of Stow; a grandson Eric (Jennifer) Evans of Maineville, OH; two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Justin Evans. Besides his parents, Stan was preceded in death by his wife Jane Weaver Mussler; his brother Joseph Mussler; his three sisters, Marie Kahl, Dorothy McDermott and Mildred Mussler. Friends may call from10:45a.m. to 11:45a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Church prior to the Funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers please make any contributions in Stan's' name to St. Patrick Parish, 1420 Oak Hill Ave, Youngstown, OH 44507.
