Obituary

YOUNGSTOWN-John W. Pratt, 88 There will be a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Edward Noga at 11 a.m Thursday at St. Patrick Church for John W. Pratt, 88, who passed away Wednesday evening at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center. John was born November 18, 1924 in Youngstown a son of Harry and Grace Butler Pratt and was a life-long area resident. He graduated from South High School and worked many years at Steel Door. John loved all sports but was a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Indians, he was a bowler and was involved with many bowling leagues. He was a lover of books and read extensively but his favorite activity was spending time with his family and friends at social gatherings. His wife Ruby Linge whom he married May 15, 1976 died on September 27, 1983. He will be greatly missed by his long time friend Mary Wolfe; his step-daughter Donna Haring; five nieces Sr. Kathleen Minchin, Eileen Marie Nelson, Janet Cherol, Patricia (Daniel) Colucci, Diane Wilcox; four nephews Curtis (Jennie) Pratt, Michael (Candace) Minchin, John (Beth) Egan, William (Janet) Egan and many grand nieces and grand nephews. Besides his parents and wife Ruby, John was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Pratt; his two sisters, Grace Minchin and Ellen Egan. Any memorial donations can be made in John's honor to donor's choice. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman.
