John Glenn Simon, 84 John Glenn Simon, 84, passed away peacefully Monday afternoon. He was born Oct. 24, 1929, in Honolulu, a son of John and Ida Pimento Gomes Jr. John worked as an installer for Ohio Bell Telephone Company and was a member of the AT&T Pioneers. He was a radio operator in the Navy. John leaves to cherish his memory, a daughter, Sally Huddleston of Boardman; a sister, Eleanor Dawson of Virginia; four grandchildren, Jacob Simon of Arizona, Garrett (Andrea) Hassay of Boardman, Terrance Hassay of Hubbard and Taylor (Ric) Griffith of Youngstown; and three great-grandchildren, Garret David, Brandon and Destiny. Besides his parents John is preceded in death by a son, Michael J. Simon, and a daughter, Susan A. Hassay. There are no calling hours or funeral services. Arrangements are by the Fox Funeral Home in Boardman.
