Prayers will be 12:30 Monday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 P.M. at Christ Our Savior (St. Nicholas), Struthers, for John D. Wilson, Sr., who passed away Friday afternoon. John was born February 5, 1938, a son of Marion and Katherine Ruffing Wilson. He was a heavy equipment mechanic for Mark's Tractor, American Equipment and retiring from Essroc Cement Co.. John was a long time member of Christ Our Savior and enjoyed reading and spending time with his family. He a Navy veteran serving aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Shangri-La. John leaves to cherish his memory his wife the former Judy A. Wymer, whom he married Oct 28, 1959, a son John (Lynne) Wilson, Jr., of Diamond , two daughters Joanne (Gary) Kane of Manchester Oklahoma and Cheryl Custer of Salem, ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Besides his parents, John is preceded in death by a son Robert Wilson, whom passed away in 1998 and a sister and brother-in-law Louise (Ronald) Wire..
