Joseph J. Phelan, 80 YOUNGSTOWN - Joseph J. Phelan, 80 passed away peacefully Sunday. Joseph was born June 23, 1934, in Youngstown, a son of Joseph L. & Mildred Danko Phelan. He was graduate of Ursuline High School and worked at Almart and Stambaugh-Thompson. Joe was a member of St. Dominic Church and the American Legion Post 732. He was an army veteran, serving from 1957 to 1964. He leaves to cherish his memory, a daughter Kathleen (Rick) Lewin of Cleveland Heights; a son, Joseph J. Phelan of Campbell; and a son-in-law, Chris Lowry of White Salmon, Wash. . Besides his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by a son, Patrick Phelan; and a daughter, Maureen Lowry.
