Joseph Ritchie Syphard, 84 CINCINNATI, OH--Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman, for Joseph Ritchie Syphard, 84, who died at 7:31 pm, Friday ,May 11, 2007 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Joseph was born April 12, 1923 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of McClellan and Grace Farra Syphard. He graduated from the Rayen High School. He retired from General Fireproofing and was a World War II Army veteran. Mr. Syphard was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, the former Evelyn Eileen O'Neal, whom he married February 1946. She died March 21, 1981. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Russell, James, Ted and Richard and his sister, Shirley Meek. He leaves behind a daughter, Kathleen McKnight (William) of Santee, South Carolina; a son, Jack Syphard (Anne) of Indianapolis Indiana; the nephews, Jerry Syphard (Bernadette, Nicholas and Brian; three grandchildren, Scott Kleckner, Melissa Rodgers and Ashley Rozier.
