Josephine Elizabeth Troll Hughes, 87 POLAND - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today by the Rev. Joseph A. Fata at St. Luke Church for Josephine Elizabeth Troll Hughes, 87, who passed away Sunday morning. Josephine was born Nov. 23, 1924, in Youngstown, a daughter of Joseph and Mary DiLoreto Troll. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and was the secretary-treasurer for the Republic Steel Credit Union. Josephine retired from Mahoning Valley Distributing after 27 years of service. As a member of St. Luke, she was active as a counter and a member of the Holy Rosary Society. Josephine was also a member of St. Cyril and St. Stanislaus Seniors and the Gibson Street Girls. She loved traveling by bus to Atlantic City with her friends. Josephine leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Joyce Ann (John) Dunn of Poland; two brothers, Joe Troll of Canfield and Jeffrey Troll of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren, Lori Avnet, Robert Dunn, Michael Dunn and John A. Dunn; six great-grandchildren, Ashley, Ben, and Tanner Avnet, Naomi, Michael and Sela Dunn. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Anita Troll and a brother, Anthony "Sharky" Troll. Friends may call from 1:30 to 2 p.m. today at St. Luke Church.
