Obituary

Judith A. Stanislaw, 75, passed away peacefully in the company of her family on Friday, December 27, 2024.

Mrs. Stanislaw was born March 12, 1949, in Youngstown, the daughter of Fred R. and Janice (Green) Behnke. An alumnus of Woodrow Wilson High School.

She was a self-employed wedding florist who enjoyed sharing her talent for flower arranging and wreath and Boxwood Christmas tree decorating by teaching classes at Fellows Riverside Gardens and as a vendor in yearly craft shows throughout the Valley. She loved gardening and entering her flowers at the Canfield Fair each year. But most of all, cherished her long-term membership (since 1980 when it was first established) in Hour Thyme Garden Club where she served as president among other roles. Equally passionate about her family and friends, she loved spending time with her daughters and five granddaughters: family beach vacations, card club and catching live music at the park with the love of her life, Tony.

The large family blessed to have had her and that will cherish her memories are her husband, Anthony E. Stanislaw, whom she married on October 31, 1969; two daughters, April (Michael) and Tammy Stanislaw of Boardman; a brother Fred E. (Betty) Behnke of Hubbard, two sisters, Kathryn (Jeff) Daloise of Canfield and Margaret (Ken) Cherol of Poland; five granddaughters, Jacqueline and Isabella Kane, Juliette Dietl, and Tabitha and Samantha Rhinehart; sister-in-law Pat (John) Patterson and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, James Edward Behnke and nephew, James Edward Daloise (the namesake of).
