YOUNGSTOWN- Kathleen Carsonie, 89 The Lord called Kathleen Carsonie, home from her residence in the morning hours of Monday, December 10th. Kathleen was born March 23, 1923 in Youngstown, a daughter of Michael and Mary Dempsey Durkin and was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from South High School with the Class of 1941. She worked as a credit manager for Hy-Way Heat Systems until retirement in 1984. She was a long time parishioner of St. Christine Parish. Kathleen volunteered and was active with many charitable organizations. She enjoyed cards and belonged to a 500 Bid Card Club. She will be sadly missed by her devoted, loving, caring husband, Gregory S. Carsonie whom she married May 19, 1977. She will also be missed by Michael and Stacey Durkin, Timothy and Jill Durkin and several other nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Durkin and her sister, Margaret "Peg" Durkin. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Today at St. Christine Church prior to her Resurrection Mass.
