Kathleen "Kay" Mylott Chaffee, 93 BOARDMAN - Kathleen "Kay" Mylott Chaffee, 93, died at home on Jan. 27, of complications of old age. Kay was born in Youngstown to Patrick and Mary Mylott on Oct. 3, 1921, the youngest of six children in a north side Irish family. Together they built a mutually loving life that included four children. Kay retired from the Ohio Bell Telephone Company as a supervisor in 1986. She was a member of the Pioneers Retirees of Ohio Bell Telephone and St. Edward Parish. She was a generous donor to many organizations that support Catholic missionary work and health promotion for needy children and families. Kay was predeceased by her husband, John; her son, John P. Chaffee; and her grandson, Jonathan Chaffee. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Mary Ann Chaffee of Washington, D.C. and Kathleen Chaffee Gaige (Gene) of Canfield; son Michael Chaffee (Kathy) of Lordstown; grandchildren Paul (Kathy Britton) Gaige of Dallas, Laura (Justin) Albert of Durham, N.C., Scott Chaffee of Columbus, and Keeley Chaffee of Pittsburgh; and great-granddaughter Blair Albert.
