Obituary

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Philip Rogers, at 11 A.M. Wednesday at St. Charles Church, Boardman, for Kathleen "Kay" V. Eperjesi, 78 of Boardman, who passed away peacefully after a courageous eight year battle with ovarian cancer, Friday afternoon with her family by her side. Kay was born August 4, 1938, in Youngstown, a daughter of Thomas and Mary Sheridan Casey. She was a 1956 graduate of East High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society. Kay worked for many years for the Donald Weibling Insurance Agency. As a active member of St. Charles Church, where she was in the bowling league, worked in the soup kitchen and played cards in the card group. An avid sports fan, Kay loved the Cleveland Indians, Notre Dame and playing volleyball. She leaves to cherish her memory , her husband Joseph V Eperjesi, Sr., whom she married June 18, 1960, a son Joseph V. Eperjesi, Jr. of Boardman, a sister Theresa (Nick) Granitto of Youngstown and a grand daughter Casey Cottell. Besides her parents, Kay is preceded in death by a daughter Janice Cottell, four brothers Robert Casey, Edward Casey, John Casey, James Casey and a sister Noreen Schneider. Friends may call from 10 to 11 A.M. Wednesday at St. Charles Church. Material tributes can be made in Kay's memory to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Boardman, Ohio 44512. Kay's family wishes to thank Dr. Sudershan Garg, Dr. Suzan Selim, their staffs and the many hospitals staff members , for their love and support.
