Kathleen A. "Kay" Snier, 82 BOARDMAN - There will be Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Dominic Church for Kathleen A. Snier, 82, who passed away Sunday at her home. Kathleen was born January 11, 1932 in Youngstown, a daughter of Michael and Margaret Jones Laffey and has been a lifelong area resident. She graduated from South High School and was a homemaker. She was a long time parishioner of St. Dominic Parish and belonged to its Altar Rosary Society and Legion of Mary. Her husband William A. Snier Sr. whom she married on August 21, 1954 died on February 7,1989 after 34 years of marriage. She will be greatly missed by her two daughters, Judith (Chuck) Cornelius of Austintown, Kathleen (John) Conway of Canfield; a son William A. (Anna Marie) Snier Jr. of Canal Fulton; four grandchildren, Gregory & Melanie Snier of Canal Fulton, Shane & Patrick Conway of Canfield; a sister, Mary Novosel of Mineral Ridge and a brother, Michael Laffey of Boardman. . In lieu of flowers, the Snier family requests that monetary donations be made in Kathleen's name to St. Vincent DePaul Society or to the Knights of Columbus of St. Dominic Church at 77 East Lucius Ave Youngstown, OH 44507. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. Thursday at St. Dominic Church prior to her Mass.
