Obituary

Leo Stanton, 77 POLAND---Services will be 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the Fox Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. in Saint Dominic Church for Leo Stanton, 77, who died Thursday morning at his residence. Mr. Stanton was born January 3, 1930 in Youngstown, a son of Michael and Ruth Hartman Stanton and has been a lifelong area resident. He graduated from South High School and worked as a dispatcher for Ohio Bell retiring in 1985. Leo was a veteran of the Air Force, serving from 1951 to 1955. He was a member of the CWA Union Local #4300, where he served many years as secretary, a member of the Eagles #213, belonged to the Catholic War Vets, the Boulevard Golf League and was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers. Besides his wife, the former Marilyn Pugh, whom he married May 18, 1957, he leaves two sons; Michael Stanton of Poland and Dan (Jenine) Stanton of New Middletown; a brother Jack Stanton of Struthers; two sisters; Rose Bresnahan of Youngstown and Marge Mayer of Tennesse; and his grandson Jacob Daniel Stanton. Besides his parents he was predeceased by two brothers Edward and Robert Stanton. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
