Obituary

Leonard Grybos-93 Leonard Grybos, 93, passed away on Thursday, August 15, in Middlefield, OH with his son Richard by his side. He was born Leonard Henry Grybos on November 5, 1919 to parents Frank and Eleanor (Szary) Grybos in Youngstown, OH. He was joined in life long marriage to Muriel Adams on November 6, 1948 and resided in Youngstown, where he worked as a technician for Ohio Bell, from which he retired. He was a member of St. Christine's Church and served as a Sargent during World War II, in the Army Air Corps, and was stationed in N. Africa, France and Italy. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Muriel, who passed in 2011 and 4 brothers, Anthony, Theodore, Daniel and Carl, all who resided in Youngstown, and a sister Helen Telego of Grand Rapids, MI. He will be sadly missed by his sons, Richard T. Grybos (Christine) , of Concord, OH and Larry F. Grybos ( Lauren) of Colfax, CA, his sister Irene Galmish of Poland, OH and former daughter-in law, Cheryl Grybos. Grandchildren include Andrew and Sarah Grybos of Chardon, and Matthew and Rachel Grybos of Colfax, CA. He will be remembered by family and friends for his sense of humor, and love for family. He loved to joke with his grandchildren, servers at restaurants, clerks, aids and nurses at the Briar Hill Health Care Center in Middlefield Village, where he had been residing for the last few years. He would always make them smile and laugh and he relished his reputation for being the comic. He enjoyed golf and spent many years on the course, with his golfing pals. Later, he and his late wife, Mert would watch hours of televised baseball, golf and football games, something they enjoyed doing together. Arrangements are being made by Fox Funeral Home, Boardman, OH. Friends may call Sunday, August 18, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm with Christian services at 4:00 pm.
