Leroy Ogilvie, 88 POLAND-- Services will be 1p.m. Saturday at Bethel Lutheran Church with Reverend Bret Rizzo officiating for Leroy Ogilvie, 88, who died Wednesday afternoon at Hospice House. Leroy was born November 8, 1920 in Youngstown, the son of David and Blanche Shaffer Ogilvie and has been a lifelong area resident. He was a 1939 graduate of South High School. Leroy retired after forty years in the Engineering Department at General Fireproofing. He served his country with the United states Air Corp during WWII, where he received the American Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct medal and victory medal. He leaves his wife, the former Evelyn Lundin , whom he married August 29,1940; a daughter-in-law, Jaclyn Ogilvie of Boardman ; a sister Norma Gill of Canfield; two grandchildren, D.J. (Toni) Ogilvie and Gwen (Dan) Pallante both of Boardman; and eight great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his son David W. Ogilvie who passed away May 23, 1988. Friends may call 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Fox Funeral Home and 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview Dr., Boardman, OH one hour prior to the service. Family requests memorial contributions to be given to the "David Ogilvie Scholarship Fund" at Canfield Board of Education, 100 Wadsworth Rd., Canfield,OH 44406.
