Leslie Albanese passed away on Saturday August 1, 2026, at Adventura at the Assumption, after a lengthy health battle.
She was born November 20, 1981, in Youngstown, daughter of Ronald and Elizabeth “Betty” L. Kogelnik Albanese and was a lifelong area resident.
Leslie graduated from Boardman School High in 2000, and soon after started working in the front office for Dr. Awil Nalluri for many years.
She was self-employed and opened her own cleaning business that she continued until 2019.
Leslie and her family have been parishioners at Saint Charles’ Church for many years.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and her friends; she especially loved going on outings and having fun with her daughter.
Leslie leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter Morgan E. Zolla of Boardman, her father Ron Albanese also of Boardman, her brothers Anthony (Kara Miller) Albanese and Jason (Karen) Albanese both of Boardman. Her nephews Enzo and Dominic and niece Carley are all Boardman.
She also leaves her Uncle Rudy and Aunt Caroline Kogelnik of North Lima, a special thank you goes out to them for the support and love they had shown to Leslie this past year during her ongoing cancer battle, both loved her like their daughter.
Leslie leaves many aunts and uncles that she had a very special relationship with, and several close cousins, and the father of her daughter Michael Zolla of Boardman. .
She was preceded in death by her mother Elizabeth ‘Betty” Albanese who passed away in 2020.
Her grandparents Rudy & Anna Kogelnik and Joseph & Ruth Albanese, her aunt Donna (Ralph), Dota and Uncle Ted Snyder.
Leslie’s wishes were for no calling or services; the family is honoring that.
Her ashes will be entombed at Resurrection Cemetery at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. Boardman.
