Obituary

Loving husband, father, Papa and great grandfather - Louis, more commonly known as Lou, died peacefully with his family by his side on March 17, 2017 in Boardman, Ohio.

Lou was born September 8, 1931 to Louis A. Sr. and Nancy Carrozzino.  He was born and raised in Youngstown, graduating from South High School and Youngstown College (now Youngstown State University).  He was proud to serve in the Korean War from 1950-1954.  He lived in Elyria, Ohio for over35 years, where he attended St. Agnes Church.

Lou is survived by his loving wife, Judith (nee Zanders) Carrozzino, of 42 years.  He also leaves behind their son, Anthony (Jennifer) Carrozzino and daughters Deborah (Buck) Turnbull (nee Hofmann) and Laura Lightner (nee Hofmann).  He loved and was loved dearly by his grandchildren, Shelly Nitzky, Sheena Burdick, Alexandria Lightner, Isabella and Carter Carrozzino along with his four great grandchildren, Hannah and Dale Nitzky, Gracie Burdick and Dovelyn Lightner. Lou was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Pearson, son, Charles W. Hofmann and granddaughter, Ashley Lightner.

To celebrate Lou's life and all he meant to us, there will be a memorial service followed by a reception. This is to take place on May 20, 2017 at 2pm at The Gate Church 11836 South Ave., North Lima, OH 44452. Fox Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
