Louis Mecak,81 YOUNGSTOWN - Louis Mecak,81 passed away Friday morning at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown. Louis was born April 29,1934, in Youngstown, a son of John and Regina Vayda Mecak and has been a lifelong area resident . He worked as a former deputy sheriff and a retired steelworker. He belonged to St. Dominic parish and bowled with St. Dominic's bowling league. He boxed in golden gloves when he was young, was a fan of boxing and wrestling and gathering at McDonald's where many stories were told. He always had a smile on his face and never met a person he couldn't talk to. He was a good hearted person. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Margaret Pastor Mecak and his sisters-in-law Michelle (Jim) Urhausen of California and Kathleen Mecak of Boardman; also numerous Mecak and Donchess nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Besides his parents, Louis was preceded in death by his sister Mary Lou Davis, three brothers, Frank Mecak, John Donchess and Charles Donchess.
