Lynne Schenker passed away with her family at her side, at St. Elizabeth Mercy Hospital on Friday September 19, 2025.
She was born September 17, 1965, in Youngstown, the daughter of Fredrick Johns and Mary Pavlov Johns and was a lifelong area resident.
Lynne graduated from Villa Marie High School and then attended Youngstown State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in nursing. She continued her further education at the Jameson School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
She was a RN for over 30 years with Trumbull Memorial Hospital and Mercy Health, until she retired due to health issues.
Lynne was a member of St. Charles Church; she liked going to garage sales and scratch off lottery tickets.
She enjoyed spending time with her friend Glenn and going to different restaurants and long drives in the country. Lynne enjoyed watching horror movies with her son, Ethan. She loved spending time with her mom and keeping in touch with old friends whenever she found time.
Lynne always had a positive attitude and truly enjoyed helping those around her whenever she could.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her son Ethan A. Schenker with whom she made her home with,
Her mother Mary Johns, her brother Michael (Beth) Johns of Canfield and half-sister Tracey Clarke of Texas and half-brother Edward Clarke of Texas
Lynne also leaves her longtime companion Glenn Bohrer of Columbiana, and her beloved dog Cooper.
Her nieces and nephews, Ashley, Daniel, Madison, Morgan and Michael Johns.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday September 25, 2025, at the Fox Funeral Home, and from 9 a.m. to 9:50 a.m. on Friday morning. The Nursing Honor Guard of Eastern Ohio will have a service before funeral.
A funeral service will be held on Friday September 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home celebrated by Rev. G. David Wiekert.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. Boardman.
