Magdalen Rowan, 94 ZELIENOPLE, PA - There will be a funeral service at 1 p.m. Sunday at Fox Funeral Home celebrated by Pastor Russ Adams for Magdalen Rowan, 94, who passed away Monday morning at Passavant Retirement Community. Magdalen was born November 2, 1921 in Yugoslavia, a daughter of John and Helen Schweiss Pauschert and came to United States through Ellis Island at the age of two. She spent her childhood in Youngstown was a graduate from South High School with the Class of 1939 and was a homemaker. She was a member of Zion Lutheran church, the Saxon Club, the Youngstown Women's City Club, Namid Dance Club and the Salem Golf Club. Her first husband Charles V. Kamperman whom she married in 1941 died in 1966. She later married Richard Rowan in 1968 and he passed in 1992. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter Janis (Ron) Morton of Harmony, PA; a son Charles F. (Vickie) Kamperman of Bradfordwoods, PA; a daughter-in-law Karol Noterman of Chippewa, PA; stepchildren, Rosemary Lanterman of Canfield, Patricia, Roberta and Kathleen Rowan of Texas and Suzanne Adair also of Texas; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husbands, Magdalen was preceded in death by a son Richard A. Kamperman; a step-daughter Liz Rowan and two brothers Fred and John Pauschert. Friends may call from 12 noon until 1 p.m. prior to the service Sunday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman.
