Obituary

Poland, Margaret P. Cunningham, 92. Prayers will be 9:30 A.M. Thursday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. William Rock, O.P., at 10 at St. Dominic Church, Youngstown for Margaret P. Cunningham, who passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon with her loving family by her side. Margaret was born May 28, 1923 in Youngstown, a daughter of John and Mary Boyle Hutch. She worked for the P. & L.E. Railroad after graduating from South High School. Margaret took great pride in taking care of her family and helping neighbors and those in need. She was a former member of St. Patrick Church and was a member of St. Dominic Church. An accomplished seamstress, she took pride in making prom, bridesmaids, first communion and baptismal dresses. A cancer survivor, she belonged to the Glow Girls, and was involved with Relay for Life, and supported many charities including Boy's Town, Catholic Charities, E.W.T.N., American Cancer Society and the Rescue Mission. Her husband Thomas F. Cunningham, whom she married December 28, 1946, passed away March 17, 2002. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Thomas (Francine) Cunningham of Cortland, John (Helene) Cunningham of Amherst, Mass, Mary Chianese-Neff of Poland, Margaret (Gary) Stanko of Boardman, Barbara Smith of Boardman, Patricia Burch of Boardman, Diane (Rick Jones) Cunningham of Boardman and Joseph (Jeannine) Cunningham of Boardman, a sister Dorothy Tucci, brothers-in-law William (Carol) Cunningham of Austintown and Robert (Joan) Cunningham of Austintown, 18 grandchildren , 9 great grand children and a cherished God daughter Catherine Romine. Besides her parents and husband, Margaret is preceded in death by brothers Thomas Hutch, Paul Hutch, and Jack Hutch, and sisters Barbara Hutch, Catherine Chas, Mary Jane Romine and Helen Cene. Friends may call from 4 to 8 Wednesday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation for the support given by Hospice of the Valley and St. Dominic Church especially Rev. William Rock, O.P.
