Margaret May Gallaugher, 92 BOARDMAN - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m Monday at St. Charles Church Celebrated By Rev. Michael Marcelli for Margaret May Gallaugher, 92, who passed away Friday afternoon at her home surrounded by her family. Margaret was born Dec. 7, 1921, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Leo V. and Katherine Murphy Arnaut Sr., and had been a lifelong area resident. She attended South High and then was involved in organized Women's Basketball for many years. She belonged to St. Patrick Church and later became a parishioner at St. Charles Church, belonging to the Ladies Guild, and was the coordinator of the Bulletin Ladies. Margaret was a homemaker, was in many bowling leagues and bowled more than one 300 Game. Her husband, Owen W. Gallaugher, whom she eloped with on July 4, 1941, in West Pointe, died on April 29, 1995, short of celebrating their 54th wedding anniversary. Margaret will be greatly missed by her two daughters, Patricia (Edward) McMurray and Diane Beighley, both of Boardman; four grandchildren, Kim (Bob) Conway of Aurora, Lori (Tom) Shutrump of Mason, Stacie Beighley (Louis Ruggerio) of Niles, and Owen Beighley of Boardman; eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandsons. Besides her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her twin brothers, Leo and William Arnaut. Margaret's family would like to thank Diane for the wonderful care she showed mother, and two care givers from Valley Home Health Care, Stephanie Smith and Saundra Vaughn, and the Staff of Hospice of the Valley. In lieu of flowers they request that any monetary donations be made in Margaret's memory to Hospice of the Valley, 5108 Market St. Boardman, OH 44512. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Fox Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at St. Charles Church prior to the funeral mass.
