Margaret McCleery, 76 YOUNGSTOWN - Margaret McCleery, 76, passed away February 17 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Margaret was born September 28, 1929 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late John Skurna and Mary Volovar Skurna. She was a lifelong Youngstown area resident. As a compassionate and caring person, nursing was a natural career choice for Margaret, a 1950 graduate of Youngstown Hospital Association School of Nursing. She worked many years at Northside Hospital in the Labor and Delivery Unit. She retired from General Motors in 1999 as an Occupational Health Nurse. Margaret's husband Robert D. McCleery, whom she married August 1, 1953, died April 14,1993. Margaret is survived by her seven children and nine grandchildren, David, his wife Trish and their daughter Jadyn; David's children Scott and Heather; Robert D. Jr. and his son Robert D. Ill; Kevin, his wife Mary and their children Trevor, Kassie, Alaina; Michael; Patrick; Mary Beth McCleery (Norton); and Rebecca Kenneally, her husband Joe and their children Noah and Kamryn. In addition to her husband Margaret was preceded in death by her brother, George Skurna, and her son-in-law George M. Norton. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Fox Funeral Home, Market Street, Boardman. There will be services at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.at St. Patrick Church, Youngstown.
