CANFIELD - Marie Bernard Daniels, 88, passed away Sunday afternoon March 26, 2006 with her children at her side. Marie was born May 02, 1917 in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of the late Ben W. and Laura M. Bernard, founders of the Bernard-Daniels Lumber Company in 1918. Marie attended Sacred Heart School, St. Edwards School and Parish, graduated from Ursuline High School in 1935. She attended college at St. Mary of the Woods in Indiana, graduating with an accounting and teaching degree, with honors in 1939. She was married in June 1940 to A. Paul Daniels (who preceded her in death June 24, 2003). She leaves five sons and a daughter, Paul B. Daniels (Bridget Linton) of Columbiana, Laura M. Stewart of Canfield, Leslie B. (Beth) Daniels of New York, Peter J. (Pat) Daniels of Canfield, John C. "Jack" (Sandy) Daniels of Canfield and Anthony C. (Mary) Daniels of Mineral Ridge; two brothers, Anthony M. "Bud" Bernard of Girard and Ben W. Bernard of Boynton Beach, FL.; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
