Obituary

Marilyn J. (Anderson) Hannis, 82. Prayers will be 9 am. Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 celebrated by Rev. Msgr. Peter M. Polando at St. Matthias Church for Marilyn J. (Anderson) Hannis who passed away peacefully Wednesday June 13 at her home. Marilyn was born November 3, 1929 in Youngstown, a daughter of Harry Edwin and Eleanor Gallagher Anderson. She was a 1947 graduate of Ursuline High School and had lived in North Olmstead and Richmond, Virginia before returning to Youngstown. Marilyn was a member of St. Matthias Church, the Infant Jesus of Prague Guild and the Altar Guild. Her husband Richard M. Hannis whom she married Jan 10, 1953 , passed away Feb 8, 1987. She leaves to cherish her memory three sons Richard M. Hannis of Poland, Dr. James C. (Sharon) Hannis of Vista, California and Jeffrey J (Krista) Hannis of Charlotte, North Carolina, a daughter Karen Lee Garrison of Colonial Hts., Virginia, two grandchildren Zack Hannis and Richard Garrison, several nieces and nephews and a brother-in-law Robert Hernan of Florida.. Besides her husband, Marilyn was preceded in death by a sister Mary Margaret Anderson Hernan and a brother Harry Edward Anderson. Friends may call from 4 to 7 Monday at the Fox Funeral Home in Boardman. There will be a 3:45 Prayer Service before calling hours. Marilyn's family wishes to thank Dr. Robert Spratt and his staff for their loving and compassionate care given to her.
