Marilyn Ann Root, 85 NORTH LIMA - There will be a funeral service at noon on Thursday at Fox Funeral Home for Marilyn Ann Root,85 , formerly of Boardman who went to the Lord on Sunday June 26th. Marilyn was born February 18, 1931 in Youngstown, the only child of Morgan and Thelma Mayberry Davies. She graduated from South High School and was a lifelong area resident. She was a long time member of Christ Church. She married Clarence C. Root Sr. on November 3, 1954 and they were just short of celebrating their 48th wedding anniversary when he died on July 13, 2002. She will be deeply missed by her family. She leaves behind two sons, Clarence C. (Dolletta) Root of New Springfield, Thomas C. (Gloria) Root of Youngstown; five grandchildren, Kevin, Lindsay and Carrie Root, Marizol Lopez, Luis Lopez Jr.; seven great-grandchildren, Kasen Root, Mariah Cuevas, Angel Luis Cuevas, Carlos Cuevas, Antonio Lopez, Emanuel Lopez and Laci Lopez. Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Fox Funeral Home in Boardman or Thursday prior to the funeral service. Marilyn's family would like to thank the staff at Assumption Village for the care, love and support that they gave Marilyn and her family. Marilyn was truly blessed.
