Jan 11, 1957 — Jan 18, 2011
Marilyn V. Rudzinski, 64 YOUNGSTOWN - A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday at St. Dominic Church for Marilyn V. Rudzinski, 64, who passed away Tuesday, Jan. 18, from breast cancer. Marilyn was born Jan. 11, 1957, in Youngstown, to Harry and Mayme Brudis Rudzinski "I was blessed with the best parents a child could ever have." She attended St. Stanislaus Kostka grade school and was a 1965 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School. She attended Case Western Reserve University where she received a B.S. in Interior Design in 1969. Marilyn worked for Hammer Furniture at Market Street and Falls Avenue, Strouss Interior Design Studio, The Homestead House, Ethan Allen Furniture and Austintown Ambulatory Healthcare, where she designed several medical offices and centers, including the Cayman Dental Clinic on the Grand Cayman Island. For the past 20 years, Marilyn worked as an independent design consultant. She is survived by one brother, Dr. Dennis (Marilyn A.) Rudzinski; nephews, Dennis "Denny" Jr. and C. Todd, all of Richmond, Va.; and aunts, Jean Rudzinski and Madelyn Brudis. Her uncle, Henry Brudis and aunt Wanda (Vi) Donikowski preceded her in death. Her extended family, includes Milan Paurich and his children, Milan Jr., Carl and Debbie (Paurich) Foote and her best friend, Pattie Conti. Marilyn's final thoughts: "I also want to acknowledge my spiritual family whose prayers filled me with the graces I needed to cope with the ordeals of cancer. All of my "families" blessed me with their love and sustained me with their prayers. I could not have done anything if not for all of them. What a blessing I was given to know how much I am loved. Love never ends---I love you all." Marilyn's family would like to thank the staff at the Hospice House for their compassionate care during her final days. In lieu of flowers, her family requests that material tributes be made to St. Dominic Church Building Fund, 77 East Lucius Ave., Youngstown, OH 44507. Arrangements are by the Fox Funeral Home in Boardman.
