YOUNGSTOWN- Marilyn E. Tarr, 78, A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. John Ettinger at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Christine Church, for Marilyn E. Tarr, 78 of Youngstown, who passed away July 21st at the Cleveland Clinic. Marilyn was born September 20, 1936 in Youngstown, a daughter of Joseph and Mary Durish Scali and was a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of East High School and was a medical transcriptionist at St. Elizabeth Hospital until retiring after 35 years of service. Marilyn was a member of St. Dominic Church. Marilyn loved reading, gambling and watching black and white classic movies over and over again but mostly she enjoyed spending time with her family. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 59 years, Anthony R. Tarr; a daughter Kathy Thompson of Boardman; a son Anthony P. Tarr of Youngstown; a sister June Zordich Bertilacci of Austintown; Kathy's life time partner Stephanie Hodos of Boardman; five grandchildren, Nichole Tarr, Jamie Tarr, Anthony Tarr Jr., Kati Tarr, Mary "Lainey" Tarr and 5 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her infant twin sons, John and Kenneth Tarr; her son Bobby Tarr and her brother Joseph Scali. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Fox Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. in Boardman.
