Boardman- Marjorie Metzinger Bonser Hughes, 74 A Funeral service will be celebrated by Pastor Stephen Sparling at noon on Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church for Marjorie M. Hughes, 74 who passed away Sunday morning at Hospice Care Center in Akron. Marjorie was born February 19, 1936 in Youngstown, a daughter of Stephen and Blanche Berringer Metzinger. She was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. Marjorie owned and operated several businesses throughout our local area. She loved playing cards and was involved in several bridge clubs. She was also active in supporting the local Arts and Theater. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter; Elaine (William) Byers of Streetsboro, six sons; James (Debra) Bonser of Marshalltown, IA, Robert (Jacynthe Picotte) Bonser of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Thomas (Glynis) Bonser of Irving, TX, Larry (Marylou ) Hughes of Girard, Ronald (Barbara) Hughes of Niles, a sister; Jane (Fred) Latessa of Youngstown, twelve grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Marjorie was preceded in death by two husbands; Robert Bonser whom she married in Oct. 1954 and who died in 1963 and Larry Hughes whom she married in Sept. 1969 and who died in 2003, her parents, a son; Richard Hughes, a granddaughter; Angel Hilty, two sisters; Jean Coyne, Anne Louise Metzinger and a brother; Raymond Metzinger. Friends may call from 5 p.m.to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman and from 11 a.m. to 11:45 am Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 30 W. Front St. downtown Youngstown.
