BOARDMAN-Martha Bletso, 85 There will be prayers at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Fox Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. celebrated by Fr. Bernard Timothy at St. Dominic Church for Martha Bletso, 85, who passed away peacefully Monday morning at her residence. Martha was born May 7, 1930, in Youngstown a daughter of the late Michael & Helen Lampert Hanko and she lived in the house her grandparents built for 49 years. In the later part of her life Martha lived in Boardman. Martha was raised by her grandmother Mary Lampert. Her father passed away before she was born and her mother, who was ill throughout Martha's childhood died before Martha was 12. Her grandmother raised Martha through very hard times and instilled good morals and values which Martha appreciated. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School with the Class of 1948. Before and during her early years of marriage Martha worked at Mahoning County Tuberculosis Association. She was a homemaker and assisted her husband with his CPA practice on a daily basis. She devoted her life to her husband, children and grandchildren. For more than 50 years Martha enjoyed playing bridge with her friends at her monthly bridge club. She also enjoyed going to the monthly luncheons with her classmates from Woodrow Wilson High school. Martha was always recognized at the Boardman Library as she was an avid reader and borrower of books. She also loved to bake for her family and loved St. Dominic's Church.
