Martha M. Conroy, 81 POLAND - There will be funeral services at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Fox Funeral Home for Martha M. Conroy, 81, who passed away Friday evening at her residence surrounded by her family. Martha was born June 27,1932 in Youngstown, a daughter of Thomas and Clara Marie Ziegler Welsh and has been a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School with the Class of 1950, and went on to Choffin School of Practical Nursing. She worked as a nurse at St. Elizabeth Medical Center until her retirement. She was a member of the Seton Club, Beans Petri Club and silver sneakers. She enjoyed reading books, traveling with family and liked motorcycles going on her first ride on her 80th Birthday. Her husband Jack J. Conroy whom she married on October 8, 1955 died on December 20, 2000 after celebrating their 45th Wedding Anniversary. She will be greatly missed by her two daughters Linda Conroy Bush of Poland, Patricia (Mark)Conroy Smith of Rocky River; two sons John Conroy of Liberty , James Conroy of Dallas; two grandchildren Dylan and Jackson Smith of Rocky River and her dog Baily.
