Boardman, Martin P. Murphy, 66. Prayers will be 10 A.M. Thursday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Robert Edwards at 10:30 at St. Dominic Church, for Martin P. Murphy, who passed away Sunday morning. Martin was born January 20, 1948, in Youngstown, a son of Joseph & Helen Smith Murphy, Sr. He was a 1966 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and later received both a Bachelor and Master degrees in education from Youngstown State University. Marty taught Social studies, English and history at Chaney High School retiring in 2003. He was a member of St. Dominic Church, and had a small part in the original Smokey and the Bandit movie.. He leaves to cherish his memory a sister Cathy Wilson of Youngstown, two brothers Robert Murphy of Youngstown and John Murphy of Brunswick, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Marty is preceded in death by a sister Ann Murphy and three brothers Thomas Murphy, J. Francis Murphy and Joseph Murphy, Jr..
