Mary L. Anderson, 95 BOARDMAN--Prayers will begin at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. in St. Dominic Church, celebrated by Father Regis Heuschkel, O.P. Youngstown for Mary L. Anderson who passed away Saturday morning at Saint Mary's Alzheimer Center. Mary was born September 23, 1913 in Youngstown, a daughter of William P. and Alma L. Raub Schmid. She was a 1932 graduate of South High School. She retired from Strouss' Cosmetic Department, having worked there for forty years. Mary was a member of Saint Dominic Church and its Rosary Altar Society. She was also a member of USA Dance, Fellowship Club, the Cornersburg Happy Seniors, the Poland AARP and Ballroom Dancers at Fred Astaire Studio. A great source of joy to Mary was her ballroom dancing, especially when dancing the quickstep with her instructor, Dustin. Her husband, Karl J. Anderson, whom she married April 24, 1937, died October 8, 1967. She leaves a daughter, Karen (James) Reichert of Boardman. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William Schmid and Donald Schmid. The family wishes to thank the nurses and aids at St. Mary Alzheimer's Center who took such good care of Mary. Friends may call from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
