Obituary

Mary C. Sondheimer D'Ovidio, 89 Services will be 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman and 9:30 a.m. in Saint Patrick Church for Mary C. Sondheimer D'Ovidio, 89, who passed away at Omni Manor Tuesday evening. Mary was born September 9, 1923 in Youngstown, a daughter of Alex and Dolores Capossa DiMaiolo and was a lifelong area resident. She attended South High School and a long time parishioner of St. Patrick Parish on Oak Hill. She was a house wife and worked as a machine operator for Steel City Manufacturing for over 20 years and at Postal Church for over 10 years. She will be sadly missed by her son, Daniel (Virginia) Sondheimer of Chandler, AZ; her daughter, Linda Taylor of Youngstown; two sisters, Virginia Kwiecinski and Theresa Breen both of Canfield; two brothers, Rocky DiMaiolo of FL, Frank DiMiaolo of Youngstown; a granddaughter Shari (Michael) Eichman of Queen Creek, AZ and three great grandchildren, Brianna, Katelyn and Allison Eichman of Queen Creek, AZ. Mary was preceded in death by both of her husbands; Joseph Sondheimer whom she married February 12, 1947 died in June of 1951 and Anthony D'Ovidio whom she married November 23, 1974 died in November of 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her son-in-law Harry Taylor; a grandson Joseph Sondheimer; two brothers, Tony and Louis DiMaiolo; three sisters, Florence Terrago, Rose Frank and Ann Cavucci. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Fox Funeral Home.
