POLAND-Mary Helen Gratz,65 Prayers will be 9:15 a.m. Thursday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church, Poland, celebrated by Fr. Martin Celuch for Mary H. Gratz, 65 who passed away Saturday evening at University Hospital in Cleveland. Mary was born May 24, 1947 in Youngstown, a daughter of Michael and Josephine Bogdan Puhala and was a lifetime area resident. She was a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School, and a graduate of the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. Mary was still working as a nurse at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Youngstown. She was a member of Holy Family Parish. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Gerald L. Gratz, whom she married Oct. 20, 1973; her father, Michael (Agnes) Puhala of Struthers; a daughter Michelle L. Gratz of Charlotte, N.C.; two sons Gerald L. Gratz Jr. of Raleigh N.C. and James M. Gratz of Youngstown; a brother Michael (Elke) Puhala of Red Bank, NJ; a Father-in-Law Leo Gratz of Struthers and her grandson Jaxon B. Gratz. She was preceded in death by her mother Josephine and her daughter Kathleen Gratz. Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman.
