Mary (Krupa) Kasony AUSTINTOWN - Mary (Krupa) Kasony of Victoria House, Austintown, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 17, four days short of her 90th birthday. Mary Kasony previously resided on Shirley Road in Youngstown. Mary was a member of the Heritage Presbyterian Church. She was employed for many years at the Selective Service and then retired from the Veterans Administration. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John, after a marriage of 43 years. Mary is survived by a sister, Margaret Ricker; sister-in-law Eleanor Breen and her husband, George; a daughter, Alison Melesky and her husband, Ken of Beaver, Pa. and daughter, Marcia Kasony of Norwalk, Conn.; a son, Jack (Patty) Kasony of Edinboro, Pa. and son Bruce Kasony of Fairfax, Va.; Her grandchildren are, Alisha Melesky with her husband, Dr. Adam Bowman and Kenneth Melesky. Her great-grandchildren are, Aiden and Addison Bowman. Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Susan Opatich. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the administration and professional staff of Victoria House for the exceptional care that Mary received during the past 5 years. They also wish to recognize the compassionate care extended by Dr. Jyotindra Shah. Mary was also fortunate to have been a neighbor in Victoria House with her sister, Margaret. The family wishes to recognize Margaret as Mary's devoted special caregiver. Finally, special thanks is sent to Hospice Of The Valley, Inc. for the wonderful care extended by their personnel.
