Poland, Mary Ruth McQuiston, 89. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated yesterday by Rev. Kevin Peters at St. Angela Merici Church for Mary Ruth McQuiston, 89 of Poland who passed away peacefully Monday at her home with her loving family by her side. Mary Ruth was born October 4, 1926 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late John Patrick and Mary Margaret Kane Jordan. She was a graduate of East High School and was a lifelong member of St. Angela Merici Church. Mary Ruth enjoyed playing cards and loved spending time with her family. Her husband William E. McQuiston, Jr., whom she married April 3, 1948, passed away July 1, 2008. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children Kathleen Chearno with whom she made her home, William (Tina) McQuiston, III of Youngstown, Maureen (Alan) Russo of Lowellville and Janet (Randy) McQuiston-Ellis of Lowellville., a brother James Jordan of Boardman, grandchuildren William (Katelyn) McQuiston IV, Sean(fiancAC. Andrea McBride) McQuiston, Jessica(Stavros) Atsas, Gina Russoand fiance Adam Planty and Rhianna (Kyler) Ellis, and great grandchildren Makenzie McBride and Jayce McQuiston. Besides her parents and husband, Mary Ruth is preceded in death by a son-in-law John Chearno and beloved cousin Peggy Hutera.
