Cary, NC- Mary Kathryn Samuels, 93 There will be a celebration of life at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Charles Church, Boardman celebrated by Rev. Philip Rogers for Mary Kathryn Samuels, 93 formerly of Youngstown who passed away Monday morning at her home in Cary, NC. She was born on November 10, 1920 in Youngstown, a daughter of Michael and Mary Maher Coyle and had been a lifelong area resident until 2006. She graduated from St. Patrick Elementary School and South High School, and was a homemaker. She was proud of her Irish Heritage, belonged to the Gaelic Club, and was an avid bridge player. Her husband Joseph A. Samuels whom she married July 19, 1947 at St. Dominic Church died in 2006 short of celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Joan Rose (James) Brown of Cary, NC; her son Michael J. (Rita) Samuels of Hudson,, OH; her granddaughter Erin (Michael) Wilson of Kent, OH; her two great grandchildren, Evan and Nora Wilson; and her sister Eleanor Cregan of Canfield. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brother James M. Coyle. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Charles Church prior to the service.
